Thanksgiving 2017 Tablescapes & 5 Tips to rock your Thanksgiving table

Happy middle of November babes, and can this month slow down already!? This month is going so fast as we are due at the end of the month!! But first we are still trying to figure out a way to celebrate Thanksgiving before baby girl arrives!

Thanksgiving is always a fun Holiday as you gather with friends and family and do what we all love to do most... eat good food! Whether you are attending or hosting, I think good decor always adds to an environment and can promote a better experience when your surroundings are visually appealing. I've rounded up my favorite tablescapes to give you some serious inspo, and will talk about good decor tips you can incorporate into your own Thanksgiving table!

Okay, let's talk decor tips to make your tables look this good:

1. LAYER: First thing you'll notice is that all of these tables incorporate layering. They layer in some sort of runner, table cloth, place-mat, and even layer in your dishware. One plate is never enough. And if your course requires a bowl, go ahead and stick it in there like the cherry on top. If you can't decide between a textured or patterned runner, try layering them both. Add in fun napkins, your silverware, and layers of centerpieces with varying heights. The more layers you can incorporate into your setting, the more intricate and interesting it will be.

2. MIX & MATCH: I know I talk about this a lot, and I think it's a good principle to incorporate into all things design. Notice how all of these settings mix in a variety of organic textures along with their ceramic or metallic pieces.

3. STICK TO YOUR THEME/COLOR SCHEME: Just like a room, select a color scheme or theme and then stick to it. Whether it be a more homey vibe with lots of flannel and plaid prints, or more glam with gold spray painted pumpkins and white ceramic plates, make sure you're telling your story through every piece you implement. This year I'm seeing tons of dark forest greens and olives, and so if you're not sure which colors to go with, these ones will be this year's Thanksgiving color of the year.

4. INCORPORATE NATURE: There's something just so real and refreshing about bringing in fresh stems from your yard, and give an irreplaceable vibe in your space that makes it feel raw and organic. All of these tables have some sort of natural element, whether it be a pine-cone, mini pumpkins, or greenery of some kind. Trader Joes always has the Silver Dollar Eucalyptus branches for sale this time of year for around $3! Or if you prefer the ones that you can keep forever, Pottery Barn has a great one here. Incorporate it into your centerpiece to make your table look effortlessly beautiful!

5. ADD AMBIANCE: This one is my favorite. Any well designed space will fall flat without some type of sentimental item that warms your soul. Whether it be tea-lights in beautiful votives scattered around your centerpiece, or replacing your table cloth with a plaid blanket.. bring it in! Everyone loves something that reminds them of home.

I hope these tips give you some great ideas to incorporate into your own Thanksgiving, and have fun playing around with different items to make the most beautiful tablescape! Wishing you all the most wonderful Thanksgiving, we are so grateful for you all and all of your love and support!

Xoxo,
Andrea
