CALM NEUTRAL MASTER BEDROOM
The must-haves in this Master were pretty simple:
1. Big COMFY bed that makes a statement
2. Neutral/ calming colors that makes a relaxing design
3. Reading area for lounging
4. Multi - purpose furniture that serves as both design element and storage
First pick was the bed. With wanting a large, grand bed we went for a beautiful tufted headboard that was sure to draw attention and add texture and detail. This made the perfect statement piece, and the twill fabric and brass nail head kept the design subtle but still interesting. To make the wall with the bed even more of a focal point, we added a white grid wall that accentuated the space and added a pop to the design. Again, simple but effective.
Next was the sitting area. We adding two comfy accent chairs and a storage ottoman. The secret to good design is still having all the extra things that make it feel like home, but not having it out to make a space feel cluttered. I love this reading nook and how it's nestled in next to a fireplace!! It came together so well:
The final part of this Master Bedroom design was the dresser. We needed something that was huge and heavy and that could balance the rest of the scale in the room, and so we ended up custom designing this beauty of a dresser. Also, the best part of this room is that behind this cute grid mirror is a huge flat screen TV!
And then the rest are details.... (Which we all know make the design!)
