Top 6 Wall Sconces to give your space that "WOW" factor

You've picked all the right furniture pieces, found swoon worthy finishes, and selected the perfect tint and color of paint. But for some reason, your space still falls flat. While this can be frustrating, the solution is as simple and as small as the little details.

As one of my favorite designers once said; "The details are not the details. They make the design." (quote from Charles Eames). This statement has stayed with me and influenced a lot of my design decisions, and has helped me come to realize that the tiny details are what can make or break a design. Many home owners spend the majority of their design budget on the big items (big pieces of furniture, flooring finishes, etc.) and leave little to no budget left for the smaller details. This would include pulls and knobs, the hardware, the plumbing fixtures, and most important- lighting fixtures! The details really do make your entire room pull together, and help a design feel more intricate and well thought-out.

I have been hunting for some lighting fixtures, and found some fun ones from Rejuvenation and Hansen Lighting. These are my two "go-to" lighting sources, and have loved every piece I have used through them. I picked out 6 wall sconces that are full of detail and personality that are perfect for more industrial spaces. I've had my eye on them for a while and can't wait to put them in my bathroom remodel! Each one pulls a slightly different design style, and are great options for big design detail on a small budget.

1. "Classic Farmhouse" - this light fixture offers clean lines, minimal detail, and a pewter finish to pull in a little more personality to soften the cleanliness of the design style. This light would work great in a space where you like to mix lots of reclaimed wood, rough finishes, and more simple design furniture.
2. "Versatile Transitional" - this piece has simple lines and elegant finishes. The clear glass offers a more contemporary feel but the shape brings it back down to a more traditional design. This lighting fixture would do well in most spaces that want to stay more traditional, while starting to add more cutting edge design pieces that add a fun flair and personality.

3. "Classic Chic" - Traditional lines and chic gold accents give this light fixture a fun twist on classic lines. This light would bring life to any classic room with symmetry and play on more intricate details.

4. "Edgy traditional" - This light has a very traditional design, and adds an industrial feel with rivets and a chunkier scale. Navy and gold makes this a perfect light for a more formal and sophisticated spaces.

5. "Mid Century Modern" - the design of the lamp shade gives a retro flare and has a big pull in the overall design style. This piece works well in spaces with lots of geometric shapes, and traditional to modern finishes.

6. "Industrial Modern" - Black finish on the metal gives this light an industrial spin on the classic base, and balances out with a clean and straight lined glass shade. This mixture of styles makes this a fun piece for additional character in traditional spaces.

In any room and with any design style, the finishing touches will make the design of your space feel complete and give it that "WOW" factor. Make sure to plan and design the little details with just as much thought and consideration as you do the rest of your space, and the over all design will come together even better than you had originally planned.

I'm still deciding on which one I'm going to use in the bathroom design for the Aspen Way Project. Let me know which one is your favorite and your other favorite lighting sources for some fun statement lights!

Xoxo,
Andrea
