Luxurious and Colorful Laundry Room | Mecham Dream Home Laundry Room Reveal

Laundry is one of those things that are just always going to be there... just how the sun will always rise, there will always be another load of laundry to do! Talk about reliable. But laundry would be a breeze if you had a great and inviting space to do in, one that you wouldn't mind returning to often and spending some time each week (or day... depending on how many cute kiddos live in your home!)

We are sharing the reveal of Ellie Mecham's laundry room design today! As you have all seen, we designed the majority of their home in calm and subtle neutrals. The entire home has a really great vibe and cohesiveness about it that is transitional between all rooms. But we wanted the laundry room to be different. In here, we wanted a space that was just Ellie's. Ellie has a super fun and bright personality, and we wanted a space all her own to reflect that. With the laundry room, we went with a super bright and bold color on the cabinets, and added even more flair and spunk in the tile.

- Dual function for half bath

The cabinet company had the perfect bright baby blue. We really wanted this to be the focus, and so we went with a heavy pattern but more subtle color for the floor tile. We found a really fun mirror with a unique shape that tied in the details of the floor pattern. Ellie also had a really beautiful piece of art that she wanted to use, and we found it's perfect home here in the laundry room. The tones in the art picked up the tones in the cabinets beautifully, and added warmth and softness to the space.

This laundry room came together so cute, and I love the dual function of having a half bath in here as well. The sink now serves two functions, and makes the space so efficient and functional. Update your laundry room to make this life staple an enjoyable one!
